Have you ever experienced the security of being enveloped in God’s everlasting arms? You may wonder if it is really possible to feel His company in such a powerful way. But you can!
The Psalmist David wrote in Psalm 36:7, “How excellent is thy loving kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.”
We know God’s presence and understand His protection, in part, through the friends and loved ones He brings into our lives who care for us just as Jesus would if He were physically present with us today.
At other times, however, God simply envelopes us – almost as if He reaches down and covers us with His presence. This overwhelming sense of comfort can be so real that it’s just as if we are being cradled in His arms. And indeed, we are! The feeling is one of total satisfaction, fulfillment, and security – what He longs for each one of us to have.
So if you need to sense the Savior’s nearness today, seek His face. Wait before Him until you experience His loving presence, and trust He will reveal Himself to you. You’ll be surprised at how profoundly real He will become to you.
Prayer thought: “ Father God, embrace me. Hold me in Your loving arms so I may feel Your presence and protection, amen.”
