Our verses for today are found in the Book of Acts, chapter 17, verses 26-28.
“And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if happy they might feel after him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”
Have you ever wished to be more like someone else? Do you see their beauty, success, skill, or intelligence and envy what the Lord gave them? Or don you embrace who He made you to be and see your looks, gifts, culture, language, and everything about you are His purposeful choices?
Listen, you ARE special! God gave you
certain characteristics, personality traits, talents, and aptitude for a reason – for you to fulfill a unique role in history. And when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, He gave you certain spiritual gifts to use in ministry, for His glory (Ephesians 2:10).
And so, today, embrace who your Creator says you are – His beloved child who, according to Psalm 139:14, is “fearfully and wonderfully made.” No one who has ever lived before, is alive now, or will be in the future has been just like you. So enjoy who God made you to be.
Prayer thought: “Father, help me embrace and accept myself just the way You created me, amen.”
For today, discover who God created you to be and praise Him for it!
