Are you willing to do whatever God tells you to do? Are you prepared to trust Him completely even when His direction doesn’t make any sense? Be assured, if you do, He will reveal astounding truths to you.
We read in Daniel 2:20-22, “Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.”
The Lord certainly did for Daniel. Cruel Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar demanded that his counselors interpret a dream he’d had, but he then refused to disclose the content of it. He threatened that if they couldn’t give him understanding into his vision, he’d have them all killed (Daniel 2). Their situation seemed hopeless.
Yet the godly Hebrew names Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar, “There is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries “ (verse 28). Daniel described the dream and revealed its meaning faultlessly, all to God’s glory.
Do you need wisdom for a no-win situation like Daniel did? If so, then take the step of faith, obeying however God directs and trusting Him even when you don’t understand how He’s moving. You’ll be astounded at what He reveals when you put your complete trust in Him.
Prayer thought: “Lord, You know my dilemma. Please disclose what I need to know and lead me successfully through this difficulty, amen.”
For today, obey His direction with confidence.
