Have you personally experienced the reality that there will always be someone in your life who will irritate you to no end in the most frustrating manner? They will effectively push your buttons that will lead to aggravation, fear, and even anger. And let’s be honest, you will be tempted to despise that person and, perhaps, even seek revnge if possible. However, 1 John 4:20 should serve as a strong warning for you. Here’s what it says, “If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?”Please understand, this person is not your enemy. Rather, this individual has been allowed into your life so that God can grow godliness within you and strengthen your faith. Whoever it is that is tempting you to anger or frustration is a person in need of grace. Believe me, it will take all of your trust in God the Father to deal with that person in a godly manner, but you are called to nothing less as God’s child. It’s called: “Exhibiting Grace.” Is it easy? No! Exercise your faith and ask God to give you the power to express patience, forgiveness, and love to that person just as He would. Certainly, the Lord will bless your desires to honor Him with a greater revelation of Himself.Prayer thought: “Father, please give me Your strength to love and forgive others as You would, amen.”Today, receive Christ’s power to love the unlovable.
