What am I to do? Each day there will be issues the Lord has gifted you to manage and those that you have no idea how to handle. The challenges that are beyond your control are usually the ones that will dominate your thoughts. You ponder your circumstances backward and forward, wondering what to do. And at the end of the day you may find yourself saying, “I just don’t know.”
The Psalmist in Psalm 121:1-2 said, “From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
You see, God the Father allows these difficulties into your life so you will rely upon Him. Remember, God’s goal is to develop your endurance and faith, and He does so by creating situations whereby you have no choice but to turn to Him.
The apostle Paul said this in Romans 8:24, “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why does he yet hope for?”
When this happens, don’t rush ahead or invent solutions on your own. First, begin by setting your mind on God. Second, do all He has given you the wisdom to accomplish. And third, leave the rest in His hands and expect Him to reveal the path as you go. You many not know what to do, but He always does, so trust Him.
Prayer thought: “Father, I trust You. When I don’t know what to do, remind me to fix my eyes on You. And keep me sensitive to Your Spirit so I can remain in the center of Your will, amen.”
Make your focus be to let His Holy Spirit lead you.
