Daily Devotions

As we were taught in Science class in school, many years ago for some of us, as pressure turns coal into a beautiful diamond, adversity can be the means for God’s miraculous work in our lives. Through it, He transforms our hearts, changes our attitudes, teaches us what it means to trust Him, and helps us walk in true victory as a Christian.
However, to make sure we don’t grow embittered or distrustful of the Lord, we must look beyond our present struggles and recognize this: adversity is God’s choice tool for building character, deepening our relationship with Christ, and equipping us for future ministry. This is because adversity hits us in our weakest areas, the very place where we need God the most and He can shine through us.
Here’s how the apostle Paul said it in 2 Corinthians 12:10, “I am well content with weakness, with insults, with distress, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
Please understand that the Father has a purpose for every trial that touches your life, and He can bring a tremendous victory from each one if you’ll trust Him. So, instead of hardening your heart against God when you experience challenges, seek to discover the changes God is trying to make and give Him full authority over your life to make them.
Prayer thought: “Heavenly Father, I thank You that when I’m at my weakest, You are strongest, and are working all things for my good, amen.”
Today, make your focus to learn through adversity.
