Daily Devotions

We read in Mark 4:18-19, “And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word. And the cares of this world, and the deceitful ness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”
If you’re feeling somewhat unmotivated and ineffective today, realize that anxiety nearly always results in a person becoming less productive. When bound by insecurities and apprehensions, we simply cannot be effective for the kingdom of God or in our daily tasks.
So stop and consider, are you feeling somewhat paralyzed today? It may be because of some fear hidden in your heart. But listen, you aren’t going to feel secure about anything in life until you are confident of your relationship with the Lord. That’s because, by design, there’s a part of you that God made for Himself. Nothing else can fill that void or occupy that part of you except Him.
Until Jesus is the priority of your life, you will always fear the unknown and be “choked” by the worries of this world. It is a relationship with Him and being connected to His power that enables you not to be anxious and fearful, but rather to grow and be victorious.
Prayer thought: “Dear Lord, I don’t know what my future holds, but You do! So I trust You with all that lies ahead, amen.”
For today’s focus, realize that you are secure in Christ! Your future is secure in Christ!
