Do you feel useful, my friend? It is not only those with extraordinary gifts or talents that the Lord chooses to be His representatives. On the contrary, He uses people who will humbly rely on His power to achieve His goals. So, yes, God can work through you. The more dependent you are on Him, the more His glory can shine through you.
The Apostle Paul, in 2 Corinthians 4:7 wrote this: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
Of course, the temptation is to look at your faults and failings and deem yourself unworthy of the Father’s service. If you believe that He cannot use you because of your past, your lack of resources or education, or even your appearance, then please realize you are focusing on the wrong thing. Scripture is very clear: your “adequacy is from God.”
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 3:5, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.”
The Lord can work through you to accomplish His wonderful purposes, and all He requires is for you to trade your weakness for His strength and obey Him. So place your faith in Christ and rejoice at all He does in and through you.
May our prayer today be: “Father, thank You for creating me for good works and working through me. May my life bring You praise, amen.”
